Hindutva

Hindutva is the combination of two words, “Hindu” and “Tva”. Hindu is a cultural, civilisational identity. Tva is a suffix meaning “the essence of”.

Simply put, Hindutva is the essence of being Hindu, the expression of the Hindu identity, it is “Hindu-ness”.

It is important to understand that there is no differentiation between Sanatan Dharma, Hindu Dharma, Hinduism and Hindutva - all of these terms are synonymous.
