Masked pro-Khalistan extremists storm Vue cinema in Harrow: Eye witness account

On 19 January 2025, masked extremists from the pro-Khalistan separatist movement stormed into Harrow Vue Cinema in London and stopped a screening of the movie “Emergency”. There were elderly people, women and young teens, they didn’t care.

The police and cinema owners did nothing to help the paying customer and the show was cancelled. It seems the UK has come under a mob rule and there is no freedom of expression.

A group of approximately 30 pro-Khalistan extremists stormed into the cinema hall at around 20 minutes into the movie. They were all dressed in black with faces covered. and behaving very aggressively and shouting slogans of Khalistan Zindabad.

At first, they stood at the bottom of the cinema hall and then they came up the steps, storming into the rows, intimidating and handing out leaflets! One extremist came into my space and I got out my self-defence spray, to which he said “I don’t want to hurt you”.

I told the cinema manager that people were scared and had paid to watch the movie. I was told the pro-Khalistan extremists were entitled to protest. I said they had barged past security and the movie had been stopped. They didn’t want to hear my concerns or complaints and told the audience to stand in the corner – as if we were the perpetrators!

The Police came shortly after to defuse the situation. However, none of the extremists were arrested, nor were any of their details taken, no ID checks were carried out, and no victim statements were taken. I told the Police that this was a hate crime. The majority of people in the cinema were of Hindu-Indian origin, and the mob were pro-Khalistan extremists.

The Police said they had the right to protest as long as we were not hurt. Did they have prior police permission to force entry and protest? The Police inaction is disgraceful.

These pro-Khalistan extremists are completely brainwashed and actually have no idea what they are protesting about. The movie is about the state of Emergency that was declared in 1975 by the then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The movie has nothing to do with “Khalistan”, or Punjab or the tragic incidents of 1984 Congress-led anti-Sikh violence. In fact, it exposes India Gandhi! Isn’t this what these pro-Khalistani separatists want? Why are they stopping a movie that exposes the very person they supposedly despise?

We asked the staff if the film could continue, they said that the Police advised them not to, so they wouldn’t be showing it! Wow – so basically, the message here is that extremists can storm a cinema, intimidate and harass the customers and they will get what they want and there will be no consequences!

British lawmakers and law enforcement have repeatedly fallen hostage to Islamists and pro-Khalistan extremists under the notion of human rights, multiculturalism and political correctness. How long do the innocent, peace-loving members of British society have to withstand and endure such intimidation and harassment?
